Tutoring Times:
I offer before school tutoring opportunities. At this point after school times are not available, however if this changes I will alert parents. Tutoring is intended to supplement any misunderstandings a student may have in class. I will not be teaching an entire lesson in the mornings. I ask that when students come to tutoring they come with specific questions for me to help them address. I have found this to benefit the students greatly and allow them to develop the self advocacy skills that we discuss in class. I am a strong believer that a student will only get out of tutoring what they put into it, so if a student comes in early in the morning and just sits without any questions or interaction with myself, it is highly likely they will not find any benefit to coming in early. Please keep in mind, if you drop off your student in the morning, prior to 8:15 am, and/or without my knowledge, they will not be supervised. This is a significant safety concern. Please make sure students are dropped off within the parameters set forth.
I am available most mornings, however to keep a schedule I would like to offer a consistent day (Thursdays) and others on an "as needed" basis. Due to consistent staff related meetings, Wednesday mornings will not be offered.
